Birdies: The Hottest New Hot Chicken Joint in NYC

@birdieshotchicken is a brand new halal hot chicken restaurant that just opened up in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. New York is long overdue for an authentic Nashville Hot Chicken spot.

Wow - everything we tried was amazing. We ordered pretty much everything off the menu. Pictured first if their Signature Fries (hot fries topped with a chopped tender with your choice of spice — we got “hot” — drizzled with sauce and crunchy coleslaw. It was everything you can imagine. The hot option was perfect for us. We could tolerate the heat 😛 we even tried a tender in their “Suicide” option that you need to sign a waiver for and it was nice. No really - we tolerated it! Ask the staff! Maybe they should kick it up a notch for brawlic spice tolerates like us 🥲 Moving on - the tenders were also great! We got their dirty fries (just seasoned, no toppings) that you dip in their signature sauce so if you’re not feeling the signature fries you can always opt for this one! And lastly, the classic Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. This was so good. More on the sweeter side given the amount of sauce, but very, very good. It’s also a decent size so that you may not need to order another one. To wash it all down, we had to try one of their milkshakes. It was rich, decadent and so yummy.

Price: 7/10
Prices a bit on the higher side but you can justify it with the fact that everything is freshly made and they use antibiotic free chicken.

Atmosphere: 9/10
It is on the smaller side but can fit about 10-12 people inside for seating. It’s clean and bright.

Service: 10/10
The guys who work here are super nice! We saw them interacting with others and they were so helpful and polite. Food also comes at a decent time.
