Layers Bakeshop Comes to New York

Layers Bakeshop (@layersbakeshop.us) is a popular bakery chain based in of Pakistan. We were really at loss for words on how to describe the items. We went in really not expecting to be as blown away as we were. The cupcakes and sundaes are so delectable. It’s probably an insult to make a comparison to the famous and highly-frequented Martha’s Bakery but Layers is so much more superior.

Variety of cupcakes

Food (Desserts): 10/10
Their slogan is “It’s a cream come true” and quite honestly the frosting really hits the nail. It’s not heavy - it’s more like fluffy and light. Each cupcake base was sturdy enough to not stick onto the cupcake liner but not too thick either like a muffin. Our favorite flavors were Biscoff, Salted Caramel, M&Ms, the Raffaello, and Belgian Malt. The sundaes which are like mini trifles were also fun to eat. Each one has a multitude of different elements to it like cookie bits, cream, graham cracker crust. Our favorite was the Galaxy sundae. The brownies were colossal and we enjoyed them too. We did not try any of the cakes as they’re huge, but we’re sure they’re just as great.

Price: 8/10
It’s standard bakery prices for all the items. Cupcakes are $3.25, sundaes are $5.00, and cakes range from $35-$40.

Atmosphere: 9/10
It’s clean, bright, and sleek. The space itself is quite narrow so there’s no room for seating but we do hope they can expand soon.

Service: 10/10
We were there by ourselves for some time and then observed the rush and mA they managed the crowd in a nice manner. Staff is super friendly.
