Tahirah is our far, far away MF! She’s loving married life and working as a medical scribe. She’s currently residing in Orlando, FL - but New York City has her heart! She’s proud to say she drives her family crazy by talking about all the places she wants to feast at when she heads back up North and even prouder to say she drives her husband crazy by talking about all the places she wants to feast at in Orlando. You can say she’s proudest for turning her husband into her Orlando MF “partner” by going on food outings with him. For Tahirah, it’s really all about family, friends, and food.

Favorite Cuisines: Thai, Indian, Guyanese-Chinese

Quirks: can’t travel on the MTA without coffee at hand, dances while eating, doesn’t share germs, always carries an iPod despite owning a functioning iPhone, only wears flats, frequently craves 5 things at once, in love with Hrithik Roshan

Medicine is Sameen’s passion, but food and traveling is her life. When she’s not studying/working, she loves going on foodie adventures with my MF’s (if you know what she means). Who says eating cant be a hobby? Being able to share her love for food by researching and verifying new halal restaurants is a small way of giving back to the community, which she enjoys every moment of!

Favorite Cuisines: Thai, Indian, Afghan

Quirks: buying and wearing fake engagement rings, avoiding the beach because hates the feeling of sand, going through metal detectors, driving with her knees, preferring sour over sweet, having Jiniya edit all her instagram photos, always running on 2 hours of sleep

Jiniya is a Graphic Designer by profession and an advertising enthusiast. It’s safe to say she has a knack for creativity (and compulsiveness), which leads her to pursue dozens of side projects. She is also a freelance photographer for shoots and events. Jiniya resides in Brooklyn but has lived in Queens too, and if you asked her to pick her favorite borough, it would be Queens (sorry, Brooklynites).

Favorite Cuisines: Turkish, Afghan, Indonesian

Quirks: making TikToks, doom-scrolling, spending money on overpriced iced lattes, WebMD’ing her symptoms, loves pretty product packaging, can walk miles without getting tired, turning anything into a business venture
