A Taste of Lahore in New Jersey

Lahore Restaurant (@lahore.restaurant) serves up pretty delicious Pakistani cuisine. They are located in Secaucus, New Jersey. Here’s our review!

Pani puri

Food: 8/10
Generally, the food was decent! We had gol gappay served on a charpai that tasted standard. For drinks we had strawberry, mint, and mango virgin mojitos (they don’t sell/serve alcohol here) and they were prob one of the best mojitos we’ve ever had - it was very well made. We then had samosa chaat which was on par. The chicken biryani however fell short for us - it could have been a little more flavorful. We then had malai boti which was juicy and nicely charred, and then we had butter chicken and goat karahi which were sooooo good and paired well with their sesame naan and garlic naan. For desserts we had gulab jamun and ice cream, and falooda! Perfect end to our meal.

Price: 8/10
Some items go higher than your ‘average’ Desi restaurant but honestly a lot of the stuff are on par in terms of price.

Atmosphere: 9/10
The inside is pretty spacious, dim lighting, nice ambiance for dining out for couples, friends, and family. We did experience an unpleasant smell from the cushioned wall seat seating which can be easily fixed by wiping down with some Clorox.

Service: 10/10
The staff was very attentive and polite.
