Georgia-based Hot Chicken Chain Arrives to NYC

Yes - we know there’s a lot hot chicken places in NYC now, however this one’s different, we promise!

Scoville Hot Chicken (@scovillehotchicken) has locations all over Georgia however they just recently opened up a shop in the Lower East Side.

Hot Chicken

Food: 8.5/10
They have a simple menu: sandwich and fries. The sandwich comes with a variety levels of heat for you to choose from. We got the mild and hot chicken with fries because we did not want to break our fast with something super spicy. The sandwich is lightly battered mixed and topped with you choice of heat. It’s also relatively bigger than your standard hot chicken. The chicken was cooked to perfection, hot and juicy. The slaw on the sandwich was on the sweeter side. Although the hot is an enjoyable amount of heat for everyone, we personally we didn’t think the hot was as spicy as we thought it would be. Will be going back to try the other two levels. Mark our words! We’ll film us trying it for you guys too. The fries were seasoned to perfection. It was really delicious! It’s served with their garlic aioli sauce.

Price: 8/10
For a combo (sandwich, fries, soda) it’s around $13-$14.

Atmosphere: 8/10
Nice, clean space, it’s a little small on the inside. Looks like they only have barstool seating however they did not have any chairs out at this time not sure if they are planning adding chairs to sit in. They don’t have a bathroom however they do have a sink there where you can wash your hands before and after which is perfect.

Service: 10/10
Wonderful staff, very friendly, answers questions and consult. Food came out in a reasonable time.
