Where to Find Halal Pastrami, Corned Beef, and Brisket in NYC

David’s Brisket House is a Muslim-owned deli serving up the city’s only halal corned beef, pastrami, and brisket all under one roof! They also have a breakfast menu and regular halal cold cut meats.

Corned Beef and Pastrami sandwich

Food: 8/10
The corned beef and pastrami sandwich was fire and just all you can expect - a good salty, savory, mustardy bite. We opted for rye bread which as you can see barely does any justice to the ratio of meat 😂 They have other breads you can opt for which I’m forgetting. Please also get it with mayo on top of the mustard. The brisket sandwich was on the drier end but the brisket broth/juices are provided as a side so that was great. The Philly Cheesesteak was standard. Each dish comes with an abundance of pickles on the side. The macaroni salad was also okay - more on the sweeter side however texture was good, mac was soft.

Price: 6/10
Inflation. Yes. They acknowledge the price hike and have flyers up about it. A sandwich (corned beef, pastrami, or brisket) is between $18-$20. Combination sandwiches are ~$24.

Atmosphere: 8/10
“Old-school” deli/cafe interior, nothing crazy. Narrow walkway, but plenty of seating.

Service: 10/10
You order up at the register and the food is brought to your table. Food is made quite fast.
